Sean T. Barden

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Sean T. Barden is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Mary Washington Healthcare. Mr. Barden holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration (magna cum laude) from Old Dominion University and an MBA from West Virginia University.

Before joining Mary Washington in 2007, Mr. Barden served as vice president and chief financial officer with Lake Forest Hospital Foundation in Lake Forest, Ill. Prior to that, he was the corporate controller for Moses Cone Health System in Greensboro, N.C., from 2001 to 2005. Mr. Barden has been a member of Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) since 1986. He has served on several healthcare-related boards, including treasurer for the Healthcare Foundation of Northern Illinois, secretary/treasurer for Lake Forest Managed Care Association and board member of a shared services laundry.
