Mr. Van Renan currently serves as the senior vice president and administrator of operations for Mary Washington Hospital.

Mr. Van Renan's career with Mary Washington Healthcare began in 1995 as Mary Washington Hospital's director of Cardiac Services and Cardiac Care Center (The Heart Center), with duties that included strategic planning, quality improvement, new program development and financial management. Prior to joining Mary Washington, he worked at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska, for 19 years.

Mr. Van Renan holds Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Nebraska. He is a registered nurse with associate degrees in nursing and respiratory therapy.
