private, dedicated facility on the campus of Mary Washington Hospital,
we offer a full spectrum of inpatient, outpatient, community and emergency care.
At Snowden, we provide inpatient services for all ages in our recently
expanded, 40-bed community mental health hospital. We also offer outpatient
programs for adolescents and adults. In addition, we treat substance abuse
through an adult intensive outpatient treatment plan.
We will recommend the treatment programs that best meet your needs. At
Snowden, we work with your family to strengthen your support system. Our
team treats the whole body by educating you on how to achieve a healthy
diet and avoid substance abuse.

Child & Adolescent
We provide inpatient services for children and adolescents, as well as
outpatient programs for adolescents.
Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program serves children ages 13 through 17. Adolescents appropriate for this program
may be having significant difficulty managing complex relationships with others.
We help teenagers who may be feeling isolated or overwhelmed with new responsibilities.
Adolescents that we treat may be having significant difficulty managing
feelings in a healthy, non-destructive way.
Our program operates five days per week, six hours daily. We offer individual
and family therapy services. The focus is to provide stabilizing interventions
and appropriate referral to address multi-faceted treatment issues.
Adult Partial Hospitalization Program serves ages 18 and older. You may be appropriate for this program if you
are managing a variety of complex psychosocial stressors and have become
overwhelmed with situations.
The loss of a loved one can result in debilitating anxiety and depression,
and our program can assist in managing this new reality. Patients may
have a co-occurring substance abuse disorder.
Our Partial Hospitalization Program operates five days per week, six hours
daily. Individual and family therapy services are offered, with our team
focused on providing you stabilizing interventions and appropriate referral
to address complex treatment issues.
Addiction is the primary focus of our
Adult Intensive Outpatient Program. At its core components, our program is aligned with a 12-step model of
recovery. Our overall arching goal is to prepare you for successful recovery.
Our program operates three days a week for three hours in the evening.
Once you complete the program, you will have a keen understanding of relapse
prevention. You will have a 12-step sponsor, and you will actively participate
in 12-step community-based groups.
Integral to our program is family education and support. We actively engage
your support system in understanding the dynamics and processes of addiction.
